每日小故事—诚信是最好的品质
从前，有只贪吃的小狐狸，听说森林里新开了一家“百味餐馆”，食物美味，吃多少都可以，但剩下的要罚钱。小狐狸馋得流口水，一口气点了十几道菜。
刚开始，它吃得很开心，但没多久，肚子就撑得滚圆，再也吃不下了。想到要罚款，它心生一计，跑去对大家说：“这家餐馆的菜难吃极了！”
大家听了不敢去光顾，“百味餐馆”渐渐没了客人。老板老鹿很伤心，决定查明真相。后来，真相大白，大家知道是小狐狸撒谎，都责备它自私、不诚信。
小狐狸羞愧难当，不仅赔偿了罚款，还向大家道歉。从此以后，它明白了：贪心害己，谎言害人，诚信才是最好的品德。

Honest is the best virtue
Once upon a time, a greedy little fox heard about a new restaurant in the forest called “Hundred Flavors.” The food was delicious, and you could eat as much as you wanted, but if you left anything uneaten, you’d be fined.
The fox, unable to resist, ordered over ten dishes. At first, it enjoyed the meal, but soon its belly was stuffed, and it couldn’t eat another bite. Worried about the fine, it came up with a plan and told everyone, “The food at that restaurant tastes awful!”
Hearing this, no one dared visit, and “Hundred Flavors” gradually lost its customers. The owner, Mr. Deer, was heartbroken and decided to investigate. When the truth came out, everyone blamed the fox for being selfish and dishonest.
Ashamed, the fox paid the fine and apologized to all. From then on, it learned: greed harms oneself, lies harm others, and honesty is the best virtue.
